Why do American girls hate nice guys?

What is with all the hate for nice guys on the internet? Geez it's like everywhere I go there is a nice guy complaining how he can鈥檛 get a girlfriend because American woman are evil and only date guys that treat girls badly.



I鈥檓 from Oz but I spent most of me life in New Zealand and I like being nice to girls. The blokes who treat girls like dirt are wankers and I stand up for a girl if I see this happening. I have only had 3 girlfriends but they all liked me for being a nice guy.



The girlfriend and I got engaged last week and she loves me because I am nice and funny and I take her out all the time to fun places and I am always there to support her and defend her. She says I am a top bloke, a good fella and a good guy.



So what鈥檚 different in America?Why do American girls hate nice guys?
Let me tell you about what females are like in north America ( I am from Canada) they are evil, don't know what they want, they are always crying about something and they are just str8 up evil.

Edit: I have found one of the few good women in north America, sounds like most of the down to earth ones are out side of north America.
American girls have big egos and think they can change them. They truly believe if you get a guy to love you enough he will change. They normally just end up in shelters or therapy though.Why do American girls hate nice guys?

The culture and society. However, there are others who are starting to think it's the feminism movement that made the females feel as if they 'don't need men' anymore or some junk like that - I don't buy that, but I can definitely tell you its the societal culture that's partially the cause.

I'm an Aussie gal and I love nice guys too but the term nice guy is used kinda differently in America. Over there it means boring guy without confidence while here it means good guy.
americans are a dysfunctional group for sure. the reason behind that is a whole other issue. as far as the nice guy thing - there is a noticeable amount of girls who respond positively to being mistreated. these types of girls %26amp; the men who treat them that way tend to have issues beyond just that.

however, its also true that the label "nice guy" can be synonymous with a wimpy, suck up type of man who tries to win a girls affection with flattery %26amp; compliments rather than sincerity. nice guy is just an epithet to describe someone who doesnt mistreat women, but, he also tends to be needy %26amp; effeminate. of course girls are going to choose masculine, assertive, stronger, plain speaking men over someone who comes across as needy or who communicates non verbally that she is superior.

and yes, any healthy, secure person wants to be respected %26amp; loved. but, nobody is attracted to neediness or weakness. thats actually repellant to men %26amp; women which is the nice guys problem.

You are a nice guy but you are a nice guy with confidence, you stand up for your girlfriend and your fun. In America nice guys are the total opposite.

I agree with Mandy. A nice guy to me is a guy that is fun, adventurous, sweet, humorous, charming, exciting, independent and will always stand up for a girl and protect them.

The nice guys and bad boys is just an American thing. As far as I know in Australia we have two different types of blokes. Men and boys and real men don't treat women like crap. We treat other blokes like crap but we are pretty decent to our women.
Because American women are unrealistic and only want to date Hollywood characters. Australians are more down to earth and like nice guys. I lived in America for 20 years. The women only wanted the Johnny Depp wannabes and bad boys.
