I am having trouble comprehending what a beat exactly is and what produces it. I really can not find this answer anywhere on the internet. Any help is greatly appreciated!In physics (wave related) what is a beat and what prodcues it?
When two waves are close in frequency, their drift in and out of phase (so they add constructively then destructively) at a beat frequency equal to the difference in their frequencies.
