just get home hi speed service and buy a wireless router for yourself (instead of renting one for 2 bucks each month)

going wireless is your choice, but you can get any ISP you want, You only have the choices that are in your area. wireless you need a router that's all. So if you have Cox, Embarq or bright house you have to ask them what deals they have. Embarq has a price that doesn't increase but most other companies will raise there rates no matter what.

Your other choice is to get a air card and this service is more expensive but you could actually ride down the road and be online. this service is about 80 bucks. so as long as your are paying less then that it is worth it for at least 3 meg. speed.
