Breastfeeding moms. What is your opinion of adult breastfeeding?

When doing some breastfeeding research I unfortunately ended up being directed to a bunch of fetish websites for adult nursing.



Ok, I understand that breastmilk has many benefits... but I don't understand the whole adult-breastfeeding thing.



I was reading one of their messageboards (they call it ANR, adult nursing relationships) and men and women seek eachother out for a breastfeeding relationship where they will meet on a daily or semi-weekly basis and nurse. Most of them find eachother over the internet



A lot of them are women with babies, some are pregnant women, and some are women who induce lactation.



Some of them do it for sexual reasons ( breastfeeding during sex) but some of them do it just purely for nursing, no sex involved at all.





It kind of makes me sad to know that their are women feeding random strangers from the same breasts that they offer their babies.

But hey, it's their body.



It's one thing if your husband wants to put his mouth there (although I can't see my boyfriend wanting to do that, I think he'd get repulsed by a mouth full of breastmilk. lol). But a total stranger?

It doesn't seem to me that that is what breasts were made for.

Ah . . . YUCK!! If they are doing it with strangers, they are doing it as a fetish, plain and simple. If it was purely with the health benefits (which I don't buy that line of crap either), then they could go buy an electric breast pump. When I was nursing, hubby stayed FAR away from the "girls" He would say they weren't his and were on temporary loan.
Whatever floats your boat, eh? I think it's a little on the odd side. I can understand wanting to induce/increase lactation but why not just buy a pump? Personally, when I was nursing our son I wouldn't let my husband hardly near my breasts in fear that milk would come out and gross me out, but that's just me. To each there own though, to be honest there are all kinds of fetishes I just don't understand...Breastfeeding moms. What is your opinion of adult breastfeeding?
Fetishes are not logical. Whatever makes them happy. Nobody is being harmed.



But I'm with K here .... you 'accidentally' bumped into such a site on what ... the 15th page of search hits for 'breastfeeding?' And you 'accidently' opened the link and 'accidentally' created an account so you could accidentally persuse the chat rooms? Right.

I think it's indicative of some real psychological issues in a grown man who wants to nurse like a baby. I wouldn't go anywhere near an adult someone who wanted to nurse off of me. Boobs and their milk are for babies.



That said, drinking breastmilk in and of itself doesn't weird me out too much. I mean, humans would be better suited to drinking human milk than a cow's milk (which was meant for their calf anyway).
I find it gross but everyone to their own.

when i was breastfeeding, my husband wasn't even allowed to touch them because i just didn't see them as sexual things anymore, they were my child's food source!

so yes, that little bit of info freaks me out.
