Piccolo Trumpet! A question about them. :)?

Okay I have been playing trumpet for about 6 years now. I am looking to start playing the Piccolo Trumpet. The only problem is I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND TO GET! O%26gt;O I have looked on eBay and there is one for sale that is called Maestro? Is this any good? and there is also one called TriStar but I herd that they are not good. Anyway could the musically knowlaged people of the Internet give me some advice?!? *^__^*Piccolo Trumpet! A question about them. :)?
Stay away from anything Tristar unless you're only buying the horn as a novelty. Instead of eBay, check out places like Woodwind %26amp; Brasswind to find something quality and to fit in your budget. They even have a trial period with instruments, so if you don't like one, you can send it back.Piccolo Trumpet! A question about them. :)?
A good piccolo trumpet is very difficult to play, a bad piccolo trumpet is impossible to play. I play a 50+ year old Couesnon, Paris Selmers are good too--another decent horn you can find used for under $1000 is the Getzen (not the Capri). New Getzens are good horns, Schilke probably makes the best piccolo trumpets on the market--they're certainly the benchmark. Kanstul probably has the best buy for the money. Jupiter is reportedly a good piccolo and CarrolBrass has received favorable reports for a relatively inexpensive horn. There are other good piccolo trumpets out there these will get you started. Basically stay away from the China and India made trumpet shaped objects--however they do make decent looking lamps.Piccolo Trumpet! A question about them. :)?
WWBW is the way to go..... TPT screamer at heart :)
